•When women have blue eyes, that they would like to make “pop”, the best color choices for the eyes would be warm & rich brown tones (with an undertone that reminds you more of milk chocolate, than dark chocolate), as well as gold, & peachy tones.  For instance, try Urban Decay’s”Half Baked” on the lid, with MAC’s “Saddle” in the crease (for a daytime look).  Pop a little MAC “Swiss Chocolate” in the outer corner to kick it up a notch for night time. Use a rich brown eye liner, such as UrbanDecay’s “Whiskey” or “Teddy” by MAC, and rim the eyes. Finish with a few coats of your favorite black mascara & VOILA!

•To make the brown of your eyes come forth and stand out, try using the following: soft grey, silver, black, blue, purple, teal. Urban Decay’s “Naked I and Naked II” palettes will give you several great options for this!  Use a black kohl eyeliner around the lash line & coat the lashes generously with mascara.

•Green eyes look absolutely STUNNING & really stand out against any shade of plum or purple!  You can also use cranberry or blackberry shades. Some of my favorites are by MAC and are as follows:  “Fig 1”“Sketch”“Twinks”“Star Violet”, and “Folie”. Try using MAC’s paintpot in”Painterly” over the entire lid, from lashline to brow bone (this is a cream shadow, which will not budge once it sets). Take any of the shadows I’ve mentioned above & using the MAC #217 brush (or any other soft tapered blender); sweep the deeper shade into your crease and outer corner. Take a bit of that same deeper color and use a smaller brush (MAC’s #219″pencil brush”)to smudge a little under the lower lash line. Choose a nice plum or eggplant eyeliner, such as MAC’s “Permaplum” or “Bordeuxline” or Urban Decay’s”Vice” & rim the top & bottom lash line. Coat the lashes with black mascara.

•Women with hazel eyes, you’re in luck! There is pretty much no exclusion to what you can wear and you can enjoy a wide spectrum of shadow shades due to many different flecks of colors in the eyes. One of my personal favorite looks to do is a cool bronze on the lid, such asUrban Decay’s “YDK”. Also use the same bronze color as a highlight and dab a bit in the inner corners of the eye (near the tear duct). Then use a rich coffee brown in the crease, such as“Embark” by MAC. Using gel based black eyeliner, such as“Blacktrack” by MAC, and an angled brush, draw a slightly winged liner along your top lash line. I’m a big fan of lots of mascara, so load ’em up!
•For maximum longevity & color intensity, prime your eyelids with a shadow primer, prior to your makeup application. My personal favorites are Too Faced -“Shadow Insurance” Urban Decay’s “Primer Potion”. This will ensure that there is no creasing throughout the day & also help to intensify the shadow pigments.
•When it comes to the order in which makeup should be applied, I highly recommend that you do your eye shadow FIRST. This will help eliminate what we call “Shadow Fallout”, which is when the shadow travels from your brush onto the under eye area and leaves little bits of eye shadow pigment behind.  Once you have the eye makeup done, take a sponge & slightly dampen it – wipe it under the eye & it will remove any fallen shadow.  You can then perfect the rest of the face with your concealer & foundation.
•Curl your lashes!! However, make sure that this is done before you put on your mascara.  I have heard horror stories about women ripping out their eyelashes because they tried to curl them after mascara was on, and they ended up being stuck to the curler.
•Use a makeup setting spray to help PH Balance the skin, and keep your makeup in place all day. My favorites are “All NIghter” by Urban Decay, or “Fix +” by MAC.
•Place bronzer on the high planes of the face (Think of where the sun would naturally hit your face first, if you were outside). Forehead, nose, cheekbones and chin.
•Use highlighter on the cheekbones, brow bone, inner eye (close to your tear duct area), center of the nose, and above your lip, on what is commonly called the “Cupids Bow”.
•If you have more textured eyelids or fine lines around the eyes, avoid using any kind of shimmer or glitter in your shadows. Choose matte textures that will not draw unwanted attention to that area or make the fine lines more noticeable!
•When trying to conceal under eye circles that reflect more of a blue cast, use a peach under eye concealer (try the salmon concealers by”EVE PEARL” or Bobbi Browns “Peach Corrector”). If the darkness under your eyes is more brown or purple, use yellow under eye concealer (Bobbi Brown offers a great selection when it comes to the yellow family of concealers). This will neutralize the area and ensure that you aren’t adding “insult to injury” by creating a green cast under the eye.  Some of my other favorite under eye concealers are MAKEUP FOREVER’s “Lift” concealers & MAC’s”Prolongwear”.
