What makes your services special?

Knowing that I can deliver on the promises I make, and the requests that you have. I will bring ease and convenience to the wedding day prep process, as well as confidence, knowing that you will look & feel more beautiful than ever before. I offer flawless makeup applications, with long-wearing results, requiring minimal touch ups. My clients value my expertise as an artist, and the many years of education I have to combine with my creativity.

I am a licensed esthetician, who is also insured, working under the state laws & regulations for Indiana makeup artists. While there are some basic guidelines for makeup applications, I don’t take a cookie cutter approach to doing makeup. I know that this is not a “one size fits all” job, so I make every application custom to the client. I am also combining creativity, with years of training, so I feel confident addressing any concerns. I focus on bringing out your strengths & drawing attention away from the weaker/or more problematic areas of the skin. It’s also important to note that while I am obviously trying to make a living, I do not look at my clients as mere dollar signs. I sincerely care about all of my brides & want to make sure that they are 100% happy with the work that I’ve done. I can honestly say that just about every bride I work with ends up feeling like a friend by the time we’re done with her wedding. I really consider it a privilege to make sure that she feels prettier than ever on her wedding day. This is not just my career, it is my passion & I strive for that passion to reflect in my work.

Do you offer airbrush makeup & what is the benefit?

One of the biggest trends in makeup right now is airbrush foundation. I am happy to provide that service to my brides & honestly cannot sing it’s praises enough! In contrast to traditional makeup (where you apply liquid or cream foundation with a brush or sponge), airbrush foundation is applied by spraying a fine mist of micronized makeup particles onto the skin. This helps the makeup look more even & flawless.

The coverage can range from sheer to opaque & will help to minimize skin imperfections, while giving skin a beautiful & natural looking finish. The formula itself is extremely resistant to tears, sweat & skin’s natural oils. This also helps to stretch the longevity of the makeup and provide you with a 12-15 hour wear, with minimal touch ups required. Another definite “must” in my book is the application of individual false lashes. This will draw the reaction you are hoping for…turn heads & make his jaw drop! 🙂 Each lash is applied individually & helps to build upon the overall volume and length of your lash, without looking too “over the top”.

Do you come to me on the wedding day?

Absolutely! Surround yourself with your nearest & dearest, sip your coffee & mimosa’s and let the pampering come to you! If possible, I suggest that you try to have all of your beauty professionals in the same location (hair & makeup). I have many great hairstylists that I can refer, if you need someone who is able to travel to you. Travel to your location on the wedding day is included in the bridal rate (up to 30 miles from Dyer, IN ). Additional mileage beyond that is billed at the standard government mileage rate (currently $1.00/mi).

Do I have to do a trial run?

While it is not mandatory, I prefer to do a trial application, prior to the wedding. This allows us the opportunity to collaborate and come up with a look that is tailored to your specific needs, and perfect for YOU. I take the time to truly assess your facial features, bone structure, and discuss with you which feature you would like to be the focus of your makeup. We will work together to create a custom look that coincides with the way you’ve always dreamed you would appear on your wedding day! I am not happy unless you are, so I will make sure that you LOVE your look. Please note that while I will come to you on the wedding day, you will need to come to me for the trial run (Usually done at the salon that I work out of, “Exclusive Hair in Schererville, IN). Due to the fact that all weekends are reserved for wedding bookings, trial runs will usually need to take place during the week, Monday – Thursday. The trial run is typically done 1-3 months prior to your wedding day, but if my schedule will allow, I’m also happy to do this for your engagement photos or other special occasion.

How can I reserve my wedding date with you?

Dates are reserved with a signed contract & deposit of a $195.00, non refundable, retainer (deducted from the total amount due). At the time of booking, I will need to know the following information: 1)Total number of services needed for bride & bridal party, moms, personal attendants. 2) Location that I will be meeting you at on the wedding day to perform the services. 3) Time that all makeup applications will need to be completed in order for bride & bridal party to begin getting dressed & taking pictures.

How far in advance do I need to book your services?

The earlier the better! In general, I usually book 12-18+ months in advance (especially during some of the more popular wedding months, ex: May, June, September, October) . However, even if it is closer to your date, please don’t let that stop you from inquiring if you are interested. Sometimes I will still have open availability! If I do not have the date open, I have some great & talented friends in the industry that I will be happy to refer!

Will my makeup really last all night?

I use only the highest quality makeup in my kit, that I know will deliver the requested results. After having done this for 20+ years, I have been able to narrow it down to the best performance products, that I know I can stand behind. Not only will the makeup look stunning & flawless to those who are looking at you face to face, but will also translate beautifully on camera & in your pictures.

While all of the makeup I use is very longwearing/waterproof, I do suggest that my brides have the following items to touch up their makeup throughout the night: a translucent powder (or blotting papers) to minimize any shine, as well as a lipgloss to touch up lips. I will gladly suggest products & colors! You will be amazed at the longevity of these products though! I’ve had several brides follow up with me after their wedding, to thank me for the fact that their makeup was still going strong after the reception!

What else would you like for me to know before booking with you?

I live by the simple, but golden rule, to treat everyone as I would like to be treated. That being said, It is very important to me that my clients feel comfortable working with me, especially at such close proximity. I don’t ever want them to feel as though they can’t ask questions, or suggest a change in the makeup I’ve done (i.e., darkening the eyeshadow, lightening the lipstick). I’m certainly not a diva, and I welcome their input. I do everything I can to ensure that they are happy with not only the end result, but their entire experience. I am not easily flustered or offended, and it has often been said that I bring a calm presence to the wedding day atmosphere. I am also very good about keeping in contact with my brides once they book (touching base throughout the months & weeks leading up to their wedding day, helping arrange a makeup timeline, suggesting & recommending other wedding vendors, etc).

Help! I need referrals for other vendors (photographer, planner, florist, videographer, hairstylists, DJ etc.), can you refer anyone?

Absolutely! I have seen the good, the bad, and the downright ugly in this industry. I am always happy to help refer quality people, who I know will get the job done right. Anyone that I will refer, is someone that I have worked with multiple times, and is always bringing the perfect combination of personality & professionalism to your day! Please inquire if you need referrals!
